Payton's Workshop was created on accident. Neither her nor I were aware that we even possessed a talent when it came to art, until we started doing it. We started painting as a way to release stress and anxiety while going to therapy for all the traumas we endured. Being the victims of domestic abuse and financial abuse, was more damaging than you could ever imagine. Gaining our freedom was just the first step, trying to pick up the pieces left behind, was a whole different battle we were not prepared for. Every painting, we found ourselves in AWE, we felt proud and acomplished and we wanted to do it over and over again. It immediately became our passion. Being able to express ourselves through unique, individualistic, expressions has been truly fulfilling. Aside from fishing, there is nothing else we would rather do with our time. Deciding to make a business out of it and attempt to produce sales wasn't too hard of a decision to make. Spend our lives making bare minimum, doing something we hate, putting money in someone else's wallet, or spending our time doing something we love, together, and watching it blossom into an income-producing business. The choice was simple, DO WHAT WE LOVE. Life is stressful enough on its own from the day to day, so source of income shouldn't be an extra load of stress. We should be passionate about what we do, all the time, in every situation. We should be able to wake up and be excited to get to work, not wake up dreading it. So that is what we do. We put our passion to the canvas and create the life we've always dreamed of, by using our imaginations and weirdness. The workshop gets a little odd from time to time, as we find the messes to be beautiful and chaos to be peaceful. Thank you to all of our supporters, as without you, we wouldn't be here. Hope you enjoy our online gallery, and if your tempted, please feel free to check out our online store. Keep it chaotic, keep it weird, keep it fun!
